IP api Group wants to guide industrial choices by analysing technological development in the energy world. For this reason, it makes use of important partnerships with some of the main Italian universities and research centres.
In Naples with STEMS of the National Research Centre (CNR), in Ancona with the Marche Polytechnic University and in Turin with the Polytechnic Institute, the IIT (Italian Institute of Technology - Centre for Sustainable Future Technologies) and with Envipark (science and technology park for the environment).
OUR AGREEMENT WITH CNR
In February 2020, IP api Group signed a four-year framework collaboration agreement with the National Research Council (CNR). The agreement covers joint research, innovation and dissemination actions on the issues of air quality, the environmental impact of public and private mobility, improving the performance of transport vehicle engines and fuel quality.
Thanks to the agreement with the CNR, IP api Group has an authoritative, independent partner capable of guiding the Group's long-term industrial choices with a view to innovation and sustainability.
The first line of cooperation, implemented in collaboration with the CNR's Institute of Science and Technology for Sustainable Energy and Mobility (STEMS), concerns the engine and environmental performance of the new Premium OPTIMO fuel. In fact, as part of this collaboration, in 2020 and 2021 tests were carried out at the CNR-STEMS laboratories with vehicles compliant with Euro4 regulations and intended for private transport and light freight, representative of the vehicle fleet on the road in Italy, thanks to which it was possible to ascertain that OPTIMO products perform better than basic fuels in terms of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
The use of OPTIMO allowed a reduction in CO2 emissions for all vehicle classes and test conditions investigated.
