Part of the Sustainability Festival 2019

On 23 May 2019, at its Falconara Marittima site, the api Group will take part in the ASviS festival della Sostenibilità [Sustainability Festival].

Educational seminars on the theme of sustainability
The api Group will run two educational seminars on various sustainability themes at its Falconara Marittima site, with the programme as follows:

  • 10.00 – 11.30: educational dialogue with tutors from businesses and students from learning institutes of Falconara who attended work-school at the refinery during the 2018/19 academic year. The training session will focus on in-depth studies on how a school-work approach can develop students and how, for the company where those students are working, the new paradigms around sustainability and inter-disciplinarity around learning can work together to improve skills.
  • 11.30 – 1pm: a session with senior school personnel and teachers on themes of sustainability, in particular with regard to the UN 2030 Agenda. We will also examine new hot topics from sustainability to themes such as manners, civic responsibility and students’ attention-seeking behaviour. We will try to understand how the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and the pedagogy of learning are linked and how they open the eyes of the educational community to consider the need for an independent school that offers a new approach to education and a new concept of what school should be.
